Bee Costello-Bates

I have loved storytelling from an early age. I am an NCTJ- trained journalist, trained screenwriter and copywriter. I have been an editor on magazines, a business writer and a student mentor. My passion is to help both students and adults to fall in love with storytelling and writing, and to reach their writing goals.

I enjoy helping people of all ages and I treat every lesson and every person individually. I help Primary school children with their creative writing stories, I help college and university student with essays, dissertations and cover letters and CVs.

I also teach businesses and PRs to write catchy news releases, personal bios and a range of brochures and marketing materials, such as press packs. I have also launched company magazines.

I am kind, patient and I listen carefully to what your goals and challenges are. In the first lesson, we will work out what you wish to achieve and who the audience is that you're writing for.

I will then plan to get you there. Lessons will be designed to achieve your goals, including presentations to inspire your creative ideas followed by written exercises. We'll edit your work together to enhance your writing style and I'll help you find your unique tone of voice. Everybody has their own amazing way of telling stories.

I love words. I live for reading and writing and I'd love to share with you the joy of storytelling, and to help you and your work shine, whatever you are writing!
