For new students, we will work through a series of questions just to see where your strengths and weaknesses are. Once these are identified, I will create a plan - the foundations that need to be built first and then the topics to work on after that.
While working on your weaker topics, I will also go through some questions that you are stronger at. This allows you to balance all of maths and ensures you aren't putting all your efforts somewhere and forgetting the topics you are already familiar with. It'll be a comfortable, but ambitious pace of challenging topics and strengthing your current pillars.
We will work through past papers and timed question practice and get familiar with the formatting of exam questions. We will also go through mark schemes together so you understand what needs to be written in order to achieve maximum marks - even if you don't get the final answer correct.
I will make sure you aren't too overwhelmed by breaking down complex problems into simple, manageable tasks and help you learn how to do this yourself.
I have previously tutored GCSE maths, A-level maths and helped out in year 7 and 9 maths classes. So, I'm familiar with working with students of different mathematical abilities.
