I hold a Maths degree, PGCE (Secondary Maths) and Masters in Education from The University of Exeter.

I have 14 years teaching experience in secondary schools (Exeter and Plymouth). Working with students across all ages (11-18) and all abilities, including A-level Maths, A-level Further Maths, GCSE Maths and Further Maths, Core Maths and functional skills.
I also have 2 years experience teaching A-level Maths to adult learners and experience tutoring at A-level, GCSE higher and foundation and key stage three. I am an experienced examiner with both Edexcel and AQA. I tutor online and am able to support home educating families as well as students in school or college.

I enjoy getting to know the students I work with and supporting them with their specific areas of weakness in order to see the greatest amount of progress possible. When working with GCSE and A-level students I use the experience I have as an examiner to support with good exam technique and understanding of how to answer exam questions confidently. Each lesson I tailor to your requirements at that point in time, discussing the topics you need the most support with and working towards exam practice later on in the year. I use a google meet alongside BitPaper online workbooks and PowerPoint presentations that I share with you to deliver my sessions.

I like to create a safe and structured environement where you as the student feel you can talk to me about the difficulties you are having in Maths and we can work together towards achieving the best outcome for you in whichever qualification you are working towards.
