I am a A Level/GCSE Mathematics and Physics tutor. Before pausing my tutorship when entering my second year of Aeronautical Engineering with Aerodynamics at the University of Southampton, I had a student base of 15 A Level and GCSE students. My academic achievements demonstrate my knowledge and ability to teach and explain difficult concepts, having achieved first class grades in all my modules thus far at university and A* in mathematics and Phsyics and A Level. My method of teaching is highly tailored to each individual focusing on each students weak points, self identified or otherwise, while teaching the techniques and methods that exam boards look for specifically to maximise their performance. I also believe in frequent consolidation being the foundation to a deeper and more thorough understanding of the concepts I teach, so I will produce my own worksheets for each student based on what me and the student identify as their areas that need improvement. Each lesson will begin with consolidation of the previous lesson’s content by going through the worksheet set . Then the student has the opportunity to raise any questions or any urgent topics they would like to cover and I can be flexible in my teaching, as I already have a large question bank developed covering each topic in the syllabus as set by the exam board. Finally I will set some work for the student to complete before the next lesson and we will go through a few of the questions together so they feel confident in completing all the homework questions on their own.
