I always try to make lessons personalised to the students needs and the way they like to learn. I've just been through the secondary school system and know how important an engaging and adjustable teacher is to help improve in a subject.

I usually start lessons with a brief about what we are doing and what the aims of the lesson today is going to consist of. Based on what the student feels we need to cover I will plan a lesson surrounding these topics and go through them in small effective chunks. We will work through different tasks I deem fit for the lesson as well as possible homework set by school that the student may need assistance with. Based on how the student is progressing I might set additional work just to track progress - we will then review this work together at the beginning of the next lesson.
