My approach to teaching is highly adaptable to the specific needs and goals of the learner. My goal in tutoring is not only to help my students maximise their potential and understanding, but also to encourage love for the subject with plenty of super-curricular knowledge included alongside basic material that aligns with school courses. My typical lessons last 30-60 minutes, but I've also structured 90-120 minute sessions when covering a broad range of material - this is very much up to what works for the student and the content. I have a lot of experience of tutoring in a school environment across a broad range - anything from GCSE Latin students to Nursery students learning to read. I've also privately tutored students between 6-13 over my gap year. My age range for students is 6-16. I am familiar with the GCSE curriculum and the International Baccalaureate curriculum, as well as primary school knowledge targets, and I'm highly adaptable to different courses and goals - my last tutoring position was in Canada where I adapted to the North American school system.
