My lessons are structured, engaging, and focused on helping students improve both their understanding and exam performance in maths. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, then tailor lessons to target those specific gaps. I explain topics in a clear, step-by-step way, breaking down more difficult concepts into simple methods that are easy to follow and remember.

A big focus of my teaching is exam technique. I use past paper and exam-style questions to help students understand how to approach different types of problems, how to show working correctly, and how to avoid common mistakes that lose marks. I also teach students how to think through questions logically, rather than just memorising methods, so they can handle unfamiliar problems with confidence.

As a top 5% maths and further maths student, I have a strong understanding of what examiners are looking for and the most effective ways to achieve high marks. Because I’ve recently learnt this content myself, I know exactly where students tend to struggle and how to explain topics in a way that actually makes sense. My approach is patient, supportive, and focused on building confidence as well as ability.

Lessons are interactive and adapted to each student’s level and goals, whether they are aiming to pass, improve steadily, or achieve top grades. I encourage students to ask questions throughout and make sure they fully understand each topic before moving on. Sessions can be done online in a comfortable and focused environment, and I ensure that progress is made every lesson.

Overall, my goal is to make maths feel more manageable, help students gain confidence in their ability, and achieve real improvements in their grades.
