Auguste Darlison

I am a Cambridge-educated Classics teacher and tutor with a First-Class BA and an MPhil in Classics from the University of Cambridge. I have several years of experience teaching Latin, Ancient Greek, Classical Civilisation, and Ancient Philosophy in both schools and one-to-one settings, working with students from beginner level through to university applicants.

My lessons are aimed at a wide range of learners, including pupils studying Latin, Greek, or Classical Civilisation at GCSE, A Level, IB, and undergraduate level, as well as students preparing for Oxbridge admissions. I also enjoy working with younger learners who are encountering the ancient world for the first time and adult learners pursuing Classics out of personal interest.

I tailor every lesson to the individual student, focusing on building subject knowledge, exam technique, confidence, and independent thinking. My teaching style combines academic rigour with an approachable and engaging atmosphere, helping students not only achieve strong results but also develop a genuine enthusiasm for the classical world.
