My experience is mainly with SEN students who require more assistance through work and extra break times because they cannot stay focused for too long. This also meant I had to develop a more fun approach to learning so that they did not grow tired quickly and were enthusiastic to do the work. I also had to have a reward system to keep them motivated to work which worked well.
I usually do 2 hour sessions so that we can work through maths and English and I like to work through topics systematically so that everything is covered.
