My teaching career extends 9 years, and I was promoted as the Acting Head of Department for Mathematics and Physics at Arya College in 2020. Prior to this, I was an Assistant Teacher at Lomawai Secondary School, which was my first institution of service, and it is where I gained the motivation to be the best mentor for all students under my care by developing the basic teaching skills associated with the profession. I have been in the Acting Head of Department Mathematics and Physics position for the past 3 years and have introduced innovative enhancements to the department and enabled all department members to better understand the numeracy and scientific needs of students, as well as to satisfy their academic needs in the aim to attain a better future. I have employed strategies to develop students understanding in the associated subjects by consistently evaluating my strategies and gauging the students understanding by continuous assessments. I have achieved excellent results in the past 7 years by attaining 100% and maintaining it as years pass by. I understand and acknowledge the fact that a child has countless influencers which ultimately determine a child’s performance academically, thus, it has been my aim to implement the prescribed curriculum in a manner that best suits the students economic and intellectual conditions.
