Ashnaa Sasikaran

I studied Physics with Theoretical Physics at the University of Nottingham and offer tutoring in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry up to A-level. I currently teach at Vandyke Upper School and have extensive tutoring experience, having taught GCSE and A-level students throughout my university studies, as well as numerous primary school students.

I carefully prepare my lessons to ensure topics are covered thoroughly and clearly. Sessions typically include worked examples and exam-style questions to help students apply newly learned concepts with confidence. I am highly flexible in my teaching approach and adapt my lessons to suit each student’s individual learning style and needs.

My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build confidence and pass on my passion for the subjects I teach. I am more than happy to offer a free trial lesson to see if my tutoring style is the right fit for you :)

I believe that strong understanding comes from asking questions and feeling comfortable making mistakes, so I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment in every lesson. I place a strong emphasis on developing problem-solving skills and exam technique, helping students to approach unfamiliar questions with confidence. I am happy to support students with homework, revision planning, and exam preparation, including building effective study habits and time management skills. I also regularly adapt lesson pace and structure based on feedback to ensure progress is consistent and measurable.
