I'm an agented author with representation in the UK and US, and my debut novel will be released with a Big 5 publisher in 2027. I write commercial book club fiction for adults, but I'm also experienced in critiquing middle grade and YA. I've taken courses with both Curtis Brown Creative and Cambridge's online training program, and I absolutely love working with authors who are passionate about storytelling, character-building, and scene-setting. I love women's fiction, romcoms, contemporary novels with a speculative twist, and realistic historical fiction. I'm not the best fit for high fantasy, sci-fi, or picture books.
Ahead of our first call, I'll read and assess your novel's summary or plot outline, the first chapter (or up to 5,000 words), and, if applicable, querying materials. During our session, we'll discuss your overall story structure as well as your writing on a line level. From there, we can continue moving forward on future chapters for each session until we reach the end of your novel. I understand how anxiety-inducing it can be to share your work with someone, and I take this seriously. My goal is for writers to get what they need from the sessions while also feeling empowered and motivated.
I'm originally from the east coast in the US, but I've lived in London since 2014. My husband and I fell in love with life here right away, and now, along with our two children, we're dual citizens. I feel I have a unique perspective on both US and UK publishing as a result, particularly as many of my writing friends are also based here.
