My lessons are designed to build strong, lasting understanding from the ground up. Whether you’re studying for GCSE or A-Level Maths, I focus first on mastering the foundations and making sure you’re confident with the core concepts before we move on to more advanced topics. I believe a strong grasp of the basics is essential for success in maths, so we’ll take time to fill in any gaps and solidify that knowledge.

Once the foundation is there, we’ll build upwards, tackling more complex material step by step. I’ll guide you through new content using clear explanations, real-life examples, and active problem-solving. I adapt my lessons to suit your pace and learning style, whether that means going over a topic slowly, using visual aids, or applying it through practice questions.

A key part of my approach is using past papers and exam-style questions to consolidate what you’ve learned. These help us identify where you’re going wrong, how to fix it, and how to improve your exam technique over time. We’ll review your answers together and focus on understanding the ‘why’ behind any mistakes, so you don’t just memorise methods, but truly understand how to apply them.

My sessions are structured but relaxed, and I always aim to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from them. I have real experience working with students in Year 11 and Year 12, running A-Level Maths masterclasses as a mentor. That experience has taught me how to explain complex ideas clearly and spot where students tend to struggle and how to help them overcome it. With my experience mentoring GCSE and A-Level students and my background as a Maths undergraduate at Queen Mary University, I’ll help you build confidence, improve your skills, and work towards the best results possible.
