I would describe myself as someone who is passionate about science and how it relates to our lives teaching all ages up to GCSE. I like to show real-life applications of what I teach so students feel more engaged with the material and therefore feel like they've learnt something cool about the subject!

My lesson structure is in parts as follows:

1) If the student is new a quick knowledge check will be done to identify gaps in knowledge or areas they feel are not confident in. The knowledge check will be matched to the exam board they are registered to at school.

OR

2) Brief 5-10 minutes of review to check understanding and retention of previous lesson (if applicable). I would make this segment very engaging so the student forms a memorable connection with the subject matter e.g. Matching cards, interactive video activities, puzzles, competitions!

3) Based on the outcome or depending on what concerns they have we will have the full lesson based on their needs and requests.

4)(OPTIONAL) At the end of lesson I will spend 2-3 minutes sharing cool facts that apply to our regular lives about the topic they have just learned with me. This is for the purpose of knowledge retention and for some entertainment for the student if they so wish to have this segment. Part 4 is optional and up to you if you would like it.

I do not do bulk requests or implore you to book many lessons at once. Each lesson will be treated individually to meet YOUR needs and what you want out of this.
