I would start by identifying strengths and weaknesses of the student and focus more on what they find challenging and provide my personal tips and tricks in these sections. This would be accompanied by questions that will increase in difficulty and finishing off with some practice exam papers/questions. I will be very patient and understanding with students, I usually encourage mistakes and see them as improvement, making sure that they are not made again. I will start off very slow and as soon as I can grasp the level at which my students can work and comprehend I will make lessons more suited towards them. In times of urgency such as a couple weeks before exams I will be a bit more stricter on getting things correct to ensure I am pushing the students to the best of their ability, as I believe the best way to improve is to prove your teacher wrong and exceed expectations. Being a student myself I am a lot more understanding of how students will be feeling and I am sure they will feel more comfortable learning from someone who is more familiar with recent curriculum and revision techniques. With my 3 A's at A-level in Maths, Chemistry, and Geography, along with an 8 in GCSE Maths, 9 in GCSE Chemistry and 8 in GCSE Geography, who better to learn from than someone who has already achieved desirable grades. I am very laid back and I am positive that any student would be happy to learn from me as my lessons will involve intensive workloads but will not force students to stress, only progress.
