Arun

I’m Arun, a Computer Science student at the University of Birmingham on a degree apprenticeship with PwC. Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience teaching in a secondary school, running 11+ sessions, and working with younger students across a range of abilities and subjects. I discovered how much I enjoy helping students grow in confidence - especially in Maths - and how powerful it can be when they realise they’re capable of more than they thought.

My lessons are student-focused, structured, and supportive. I always adapt to the learner’s pace and explain things in a clear, down-to-earth way. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching - if something doesn’t click the first time, I’ll try a different method until it makes sense. I focus on helping students not just find the answer, but understand the why behind it - so they build strong problem-solving skills and real confidence that lasts beyond the classroom.

Most of my lessons are online and typically 60 minutes long, but I’m flexible depending on your needs and goals. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, catching up on missed content, or just need a fresh perspective to unlock your potential, I’ll work with you to build a plan that makes sense.

Outside tutoring, I’ve earned a black belt in Taekwondo and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro - both experiences that taught me patience, discipline, and the value of showing up consistently. I bring that same mindset into every lesson I teach. I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have before you make your decision!
