Arthur Kottler

I am currently an A-level student, predicted A* A A, and achieved 9s in English Literature and Language at GCSE.
My lessons will involve analysis of any set-texts, and writing practice paragraphs, but I will also expose students to literature and poetry they might be unfamiliar with, in order to expand their interest in literature not just as a school subject, but as a life interest.
I will encourage students to think outside the box when finding interpretations and themes, which will be aided by exposure to wider literature.
I admit my relative youth and lack of experience might make students and parents tentative to take me seriously, but I have an incredible passion for literature and for writing, and will help students achieve nothing less than their best possible result. I can also relate to students, having been in their shoes so recently, which not only allows me a better understanding of how the exams actually work, but the effects they have on a student’s nerve and mental state.
