I love getting to know my students and then telling me why they think they don’t understand topics. I love working with them and understanding who likes past papers as a learning tool vs a student who prefers a lot of visual learning. A lot of my experience with SEND students helps me to find out how much time the student needs to get to know me vs doing any work at all in the first few lessons. Allowing a student to get to know me makes them feel more comfortable. I love when students can chat to me whenever they want to as well. Tell me about your day and things you enjoy! Make yourself feel okay to be around me and if it doesn’t work out then that’s okay! Every student needs a tutor they can click with and only with talking to the tutor and communicating will you know!
