I personally love psychology more than my biology and chemistry a levels and normally, with psychology a level revison, I would go over worksheets to cover weak areas and go over key studies + valuable evaluation to use in essays. Then, use diagrams or mnemonics to explain the hard content, breaking it down into easier to understand sections. Then, of course, the exam practice and exam technique that helps consolidate the learning and push for a higher grade!
Honestly my experience with psychology had it's ups and downs but what I will say is when you find a way to truly understand the content and it's appliance, it ends up making psychology a lot easier to deal with especially if you get a particularly hard question or concept in the exam. Another thing that I would say is the exam technique is super important when you want to aim for top grades since it's how you string your thoughts and Knowledge in the exams that actually help in maxing out marks.
My lessons would follow a similar format each time, with the first few being time to understand what the student needs help with in particular and aim to tailor my help according to their needs and what will help them the most! In this time I would also ask for any preferences when it comes to breaks or learning styles in order to provide the best learning experience for both of us and ensure that the student can learn comfortably, effectively and develop new skills to help them with their future in education.
