I have just completed my underdrad degree in MA Psychology at the Universtiy of Aberdeen. I have been studying Psychology for 6 years, where I started my studies at A-levels (AQA). I have an interest in foresnsic psychology, hoping to do my masteres in the near future.

I have teaching experience from two summers at a summer camp in Maine, having taught young adults (15-17) woodworking.

Having been diagnosed with dyslexia at an early age, I am familiar with the techniques used to facilitate learning in a dyslexic-friendly way. I like the student to take charge at first, telling me what subjects and parts of taking the exam they feel less confident in. I will always remember taking my biology A-level and getting no marks in an eight-marker because I didn't hit key words that the mark scheme demands. Learning from this, knowing how to answer the questions is just as important as know the answer itself. This is why I am insistent that this skill of answering the question is mastered. At the same time, showing your understanding of descriptive details (A01) and context (A03) is key to getting those marks. If the student is not confident in any of the areas, I will go through it with them and try and explain it in a way that makes sense so they can understand the concept, not just remember it.
I am based in Corsham, just outside of Bath. I would prefer to have lessons online, but I cant meet the student in Bath just as easy, in a coffee shop or library.
