On the first day, I will administer a mini test to my student, covering all topics included in the specification. This initial assessment will help me identify the areas where the student is struggling the most. Once I have the test results, I will focus on the topics that posed the greatest challenges. If the student's difficulty stems from a lack of foundational knowledge, I will first ensure they fully understand the necessary concepts. My approach involves breaking down the material to address gaps in their understanding before moving on to more complex ideas.

After solidifying their knowledge, I will provide them with exam-style questions related to the topic. I believe that practicing with these types of questions is one of the most effective revision techniques, as it helps students apply what they've learned in a practical context. In the following tutoring session, I will begin by revisiting the topic from the previous lesson, asking 2 or 3 questions to reinforce their understanding. Additionally, I will incorporate questions from other topics we've reviewed together to ensure that the material is retained in their long-term memory. This methodical approach will help the student build confidence and mastery over time.
