My lessons are relaxed and interactive, and I enjoy making psychology approachable for everyone. I typically conduct small group sessions or one-to-one meetings that create a comfortable space for sharing ideas and asking questions. In my classes, I blend clear explanations of theories with practical examples from everyday life. I use various materials such as case studies, films, and documentaries to make the subject matter more relatable, helping students see how psychology connects with their own experiences.
I draw from my background as both an Assistant Professor and a Counsellor. This dual experience means I can explain academic concepts while also listening to the personal stories and challenges that students share. I spend time discussing real-life scenarios in which psychological ideas play out, and I encourage open conversation so that everyone feels involved. My goal is for students to feel that they are part of a supportive community where they can question and think about the content, rather than just listening passively.
I also use creative tasks, such as group discussions and multimedia assignments, that keep the lessons engaging. I make sure that each session is flexible enough to allow adjustments based on student feedback. When students see relevant examples from movies or current events integrated into our discussions, it helps them connect the theories to the world around them. Teaching in an online environment during challenging times has shown me how important it is to keep the interactions genuine and focused on building a relationship. This approach not only helps students build confidence in the material but also empowers them to become active learners who contribute their own ideas.
