I am CELTA certified and have been teaching English 1-2-1 as well as groups in a professional environment. Teaching is a passion for me and I will help you to set yourself goals which are challenging but achievable as well during our time together.

We will find out your needs by reviewing the skills you already have then continue to build on your existing knowledge. To help you achieve your goal we will discuss the steps we need to take to get there, then set up a personalised schedule in a challenging but realistic timeframe.

Learning a language is exciting and fun so we will concentrate on the active use of the language.
We will listen to conversations, which may also include different accents and dialects, and do some reading as well. After working our way through vocabulary and grammar, we will continue with writing and speaking exercises, to practice the new language.

Throughout our journey we will use as much authentic material as possible, so you can practice the language learnt immediately when talking to your friends, family, fellow students or colleagues. The material can be taken from the News, books, movies, information displayed in public areas or specialist books and magazines.
Simple let me know which topics you are interested in or if you are looking to deepen your language skills in an area specifically, especially when you plan to take a language exam.

Lessons will take place online via Zoom or Google Meet or, alternatively, here in my home in Ireland. I do have rooms available if accommodation is required.
