With over 10 years of teaching experience, I offer structured and engaging History and English lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs. My lessons are typically 60 minutes long and take place online, providing flexibility and convenience without compromising on quality. I believe that learning should be both effective and enjoyable, and I aim to create a friendly, focused environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.

Each lesson begins with a short recap or warm-up to review previous material and reinforce key concepts. We then move on to the main topic, which might include analysing historical sources, exploring key events, developing essay-writing skills, or improving reading comprehension and grammar. I use a variety of teaching methods, such as discussion, visual aids, past exam questions, and model answers, depending on what suits the student best. Lessons end with a summary of what we’ve covered and, if appropriate, suggestions for independent work or revision.

I have experience teaching a wide range of students, from KS3 to GCSE and A Level, as well as adult learners and those studying English as a second language. I am familiar with major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR, and can provide targeted support to help students prepare for exams, improve their coursework, or simply gain more confidence in the subject.

My approach is patient, encouraging, and results-focused. I take time to understand each student’s strengths and challenges, and I adapt my teaching accordingly. My goal is not just to help students achieve good grades, but to help them develop critical thinking skills, confidence in their writing, and a genuine understanding of the subject.
