Throughout my life, I have always helped other people with their maths homework, tutoring them and enabling them to get the best results they can. Due to that experience, I have been able to gain understanding about how to teach other people depending on who they are. The first lesson you would have with me would be a introduction lesson. I would get to understand the tutee - who they are, the methods they use to learn the best, their strengths, their weaknesses, and what they need help on. I will keep record of all the lessons including the progress they make, the content of the lessons, how the lessons are going for them, what they would like to change or improve upon in the lessons. This way I can make the lessons completely personalised to them, allowing them to do the best they possibly can in the subject I am teaching them. At the end of each lesson, I will give them a few practice questions so they can check their understanding and ask me for any additional help. This will be a moment of independence for them which will allow them to deepen and secure their understanding of the topic. Any mistakes they make will be recapped in the following lesson. I will also recommend that they practice at home by themselves in the period between our lessons. This will be completely optional but it will definitely help to completely solidify their understanding of the topic at hand. There will be no formal exams, only quick practice questions. There will be no grades or silence during the questions, instead I will give them feedback and help wherever they need it.
