MY EXPERIENCE:

I’m a dedicated and experienced tutor with a real passion for helping students achieve their full potential. I have extensive experience supporting students in the lead-up to their exams, helping them build confidence, improve their grades, and develop effective study habits.

I have worked full-time in a secondary school, providing one-to-one and small-group tuition in Maths and Science as well as running GCSE intervention sessions. Many of my students have had SEND needs, so I am used to tailoring each lesson to suit individual learning styles and abilities.

This role gave me valuable insight into the challenges faced by students in school today, allowing me to relate to their experiences and design lessons that truly engage and support them, something which I now replicate in private tutoring.

I hold a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Warwick and have several years of tutoring experience at both GCSE and A-level in Maths and Science.

Tutoring is the most rewarding part of my work — I’m committed to helping every student I work with reach their goals and enjoy learning along the way.


MY TUTORING STYLE:

My tutoring style centres around working through topic-specific questions with the student. This allows me to quickly identify their strengths and areas for development, which forms the foundation of our future sessions. When I spot a topic the student finds challenging, I offer clear explanations and bring in diagrams or additional practice questions to build their understanding. Once we’ve explored the topic more thoroughly, we return to exam-style questions to measure progress.

Ultimately, my aim is for students to enjoy their lessons and get as much out of each one as possible.
