Anna Lindsay

My name is Anna, I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with 5 years of classroom experience, teaching children aged 4–11 (Early Years through to Year 6). I hold a First Class degree in Primary Education with QTS, which has given me a strong foundation in both subject knowledge and effective teaching practice. I currently specialise in working with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils (ages 9–11), supporting them through the transition to secondary school and preparing them for SATs assessments. My experience across all primary year groups allows me to confidently support students at any stage of their learning journey.

I firmly believe that every student learns differently, and I take the time to understand how each student learns best. I tailor every lesson to suit their individual needs, using a range of engaging and supportive techniques to help them feel confident and motivated.

As a tutor, I am kind, patient, and encouraging, and I work hard to create a calm, positive learning environment where children feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes. My aim is not only to improve academic results, but also to build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

In addition to my teaching qualification, I have a solid academic background, including:
• 4 A-Levels – English Literature (B), Art & Design (A), Sociology (B), Welsh Baccalaureate (A)
• 6 GCSEs (grades A–C)

Throughout my teaching career, I have developed a strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum, assessment expectations, and strategies to support children of all abilities, including those who need extra support or challenge.

My classroom experience has equipped me with the skills to differentiate effectively, track progress, and adapt teaching to meet individual needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
