My tutoring approach is defined largely by a balance of empathetic mentorship and academic rigor, bridging subjects such as International Relations, Humanities, History, and even Music Theory. As a current Master's student specializing in International Relations and Intelligence Operations, I bring high-level analytical and critical thinking skills to subjects like Political Science, History, and English Composition. However, I am equally passionate about foundational education, with four years of experience with primary-aged children to strengthen literacy and numeracy skills.
A typical session with me is highly structured, yet student-led. I prefer to begin with a priority check-in to map out the session based on upcoming deadlines and the student's current confidence levels. After diving into content, we can move to study strategies and confidence-building exercises to ensure long-term success.
An additional aspect of my tutoring style and priorities is a shared journal to document growth, confidence, and retention.
Lastly, I am fully flexible regarding digital platforms and am happy to adapt to what is most convenient for the student's learning style, as I am familiar with most platforms.
