Hi! I’m offering private GCSE Maths tutoring for students who want to improve their confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve their target grades. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and am currently studying A-Level Maths with a predicted grade A. I have a genuine passion for maths and enjoy helping others understand challenging concepts in a clear and approachable way.
I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student, focusing on their weaker areas while building on their existing strengths. Whether a student is struggling with a particular topic, aiming to improve their grade, or looking for extra support with exam preparation, lessons will be adapted to suit their goals.
Lessons typically involve breaking down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps, explaining the techniques needed to approach different question types, and working through examples together. We will then practise exam-style questions to build confidence and ensure the student can apply the method independently. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind each step rather than simply memorising procedures.
Having recently completed GCSE Maths myself, I understand the challenges students face and can provide practical revision strategies, exam techniques, and tips on how to approach questions effectively. I can help students improve their working layout, understand mark schemes, avoid common mistakes, and develop the confidence needed to tackle unfamiliar problems.
If needed, we can also work through past papers together, either completing them step-by-step or reviewing mistakes from independent attempts to identify areas for improvement and develop stronger exam skills.
My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing the confidence to succeed in maths.
