I have always dreamt of being an educator. Somehow, teaching students and getting them to understand concepts presents a very enticing challenge to me. The moment when their eyes light up with the understanding of an idea is quite an exhilarating experience. In light of this, I propose to teach in the following fashion.
I would spend a fair amount of time working out the aspects of the curriculum which require modification to keep up with the ever-changing global standards. My outlook would be to be a complete professional in every aspect, whether it be presenting material in class, or supplementing that with comprehensive notes and references to textbooks, or even writing challenging homework with solutions not readily available online.
I would like to try out the notion of a reversed-classroom, one where the students are assigned readings from the textbook and will have to explain the material to the class (and me) when selected at random. This would ensure that the students pay attention to details when reading and learn the topic well.
