My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student's needs. At the start, I identify the student's current level, goals, and any topics they find challenging. Lessons typically involve clear step-by-step explanations using a shared online whiteboard, followed by worked examples and guided practice where the student actively solves problems with my support.
I focus on building strong understanding rather than memorisation, breaking down complex topics into simple, logical steps and addressing misconceptions early. I encourage students to explain their reasoning, which helps build confidence and exam technique. Lessons are paced to suit the student, and I regularly review progress to ensure steady improvement.
As an MEng Mechanical Engineering student at UCL with top grades in Mathematics and Further Mathematics at A level, I regularly apply maths to solve real-world engineering problems. This allows me to explain concepts clearly and show students how maths is used in practice, making lessons both effective and engaging.
Beyond the technical side, I genuinely enjoy helping students grow. I create a relaxed, judgement-free environment where questions are always encouraged. Many students come to me feeling frustrated or unconfident with maths — my goal is to change that. Whether you are preparing for GCSEs, A levels, or university entrance exams, I adapt my approach to suit your learning style and help you reach your full potential.
