Hi I’m Angie, I've just completed studying A level Mathematics, Biology and Physics. I have experience tutoring Mathematics from ages 4-16 and I have a valid enhanced DBS.
Before each lesson: A starter that contains questions from the previous lesson. I pick out topic questions that the student has asked to go over and walk through how to obtain the solution.
During lessons: PowerPoint of topic questions for the student to practice as well as 3 past paper questions towards the end of the lesson.
Homework: Each week a task of no more than an hours worth of work will be set to ensure the student has fully mastered the topic that was taught in lesson. Resources: I use Google classroom to post assignments, material and lesson notes. ZOOM is the platform I use, an iPad and stylist enables me to annotate on question papers as well as present a clear and colourful layout.
To ensure I’m able to deliver lessons in line with the curriculum, I use resources such as exam solutions and hegarty maths, checklists from the exam board and topic questions chosen from past papers. When I am not teaching maths, I enjoy spending time playing basketball, completing courses on environmental sustainability, and working with children in a secondary school and a tutor centre.
