My lessons are structured but flexible, designed around your individual needs and goals. I begin by identifying your strengths and the areas you need to improve, then build lessons that focus on clear understanding, exam technique, and consistent progress. Each session typically includes guided explanation, active practice with texts or questions, and targeted feedback to help you improve quickly and effectively.

We’ll work on key skills such as analysis, essay structure, and how to respond confidently under exam conditions, using past questions and mark schemes to make sure you know exactly what’s expected. Lessons are interactive, supportive, and focused on helping you become more independent in your thinking and writing over time.

I achieved A* in both English Language and Literature at GCSE, and I’ve also successfully taught five students who achieved 2 A grades and 3 A* grades. This experience has helped me develop a practical, results-driven approach that supports students in improving their confidence, refining their answers, and achieving higher grades consistently.

Alongside this, I place a strong emphasis on developing independent thinking, so you’re not just memorising answers but learning how to approach any question with confidence. I also help with improving clarity in writing, expanding vocabulary, and refining how you express and organise your ideas. Where needed, we revisit foundational skills to strengthen understanding and remove any gaps that may be holding you back. My approach is patient and focused, creating a space where you can ask questions freely and build both skill and confidence over time.
