As mentioned before, I have done both GCSE and A Level psychology thus have deep understanding and love for the subject. My experiences have been fairly positive in terms of comprehension of the topic however this is most likely due to my intrigue and likeness of psychology. During my sessions, I will teach you, the students, how to develop strategies around topics of difficulty and learn to enjoy the subject in general. My content will always start with depicting most to least comfortable areas where focus will alternate between the two. Methods of learning will depend on the student - those who are more visual learners would be involved in image-based activities where descriptive learners could use creative flash cards (suggestion). I would like for my sessions to be dynamic and leave the student with confidence of improving their grade. No one session will be the same (unless of course the student prefers it this way) and will be flexible based on likes and dislikes of teaching methods. Content would include a mixture of online learning (through short videos and various websites), interactive games, and tasks involving time management and writing skills. As psychology is a content-heavy subject, I would like for my students to develop skills from my sessions that would aid them in carrying the weight of the subject in an effortless way. My aim is for the individual to enjoy their sessions and be eager to come back for the next one!
