For children in the non GCSE years, I will use textbooks to teach the fundamental knowledge. After this is taught I will use questions from physics and maths tutor to help consolidate the knowledge. After doing a teaching internship I have found that more practical sessions such as creating a mars base on resources to have to survive there eg having a spacesuit since the atmosphere on mars is mainly carbon dioxide. This makes the children more engaged and excited to learn. For GCSE students, prioritising question practice will help them gain exam writing skills which help them when they write their actual GCSEs. From my experience, practice questions are the best way to go. But obviously if other methods work for different kids I will take this into account. For example some children would learn better with visuals so using videos such as free science lessons would be more effective instead of reading a textbook.
