Hi! I'm glad you're considering joining my lessons. Here's a quick overview of what they're like:
My lessons typically aim to adhere to the students learning methods, whether be visual, listening, writing, etc. Any format that best allows the content inserted within the teaching method to be processed with easy understanding. I as well would prioritise any question my students may have mid teaching to prevent them feeling as if they should not ask for help as I know some tutors are fond of that to try get all the material down, which I see a point to, although I find that taking the time and using the methods to understand no matter how long it takes is better than cramming information down ones head. I usually use powerpoint or excel including graphs, descriptions and explanations of economical concepts aiming to get to the point rather than over explain in text. So as to leave room for the students and I to discuss.
My lesson format will consist of online lessons using tools like zoom, shared whiteboards, and screen sharing for an interactive experience.
We will regularly review your plan and make sure to progress track to ensure a steady incline in understanding key concepts and materials using websites for quizzes and assigning of tasks to work on away from the lessons.
I specialise in teaching Economics, Basic Mathematics, English and Data skills for Economists.
My experience has usually been on the other side of being tutored so I feel as If I have a different element to add in understanding what a student might need because I have been on the receiving end. My goal is to make my lessons as easily digestible as possible, fun, intriguing but short to get to the point as I know students attention spans may vary.
