We will work question by question across the 2 language papers. I will always tackle paper 2 as the harder paper and break each question down into the necessary paragraphs and contents of each paragraph. Moving then to paper 1, we will do the same taking apart each question type and filtering in the content needed for them.

We will work question by question across the 2 language papers. I will always tackle paper 2 as the harder paper and break each question down into the necessary paragraphs and contents of each paragraph. Moving then to paper 1, we will do the same taking apart each question type and filtering in the content needed for them.
At the end of each lesson, whatever question(s) type we focused on will be assessed through a question from a past paper. Half the time given for the question will be for you to do alone without any tutor support, and the second half you will be able to ask questions and suggestions as support from myself as the tutor.
Doing this, the student gets a real sense of what it is like to be in an exam hall and not have a tutor next to you, to answer your questions. It also promotes independent work outside of just the tutoring time and encourages resilience.
One thing I do not do, is set “homework” as a tutor. This applies un-needed stress onto what already is a stressful period, during GCSE’S.
