I am an AAT Licensed Accountant and qualified accounting tutor with practical experience in bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, CIS, financial reporting and accounting software. I currently run my own accountancy practice, which allows me to bring real business examples into every lesson and help students understand how accounting works in practice, not only in theory.
My lessons are clear, structured and supportive. I start by identifying each student’s current level, learning goals and any areas of difficulty. I then build the lesson step by step, using simple explanations, worked examples, practice questions and real-life scenarios. Where appropriate, I also demonstrate how tasks are completed using accounting software such as Nomi/Nomisma, so students can develop practical confidence as well as exam knowledge.
I can support learners studying AAT, bookkeeping, basic accounting, VAT, payroll, self-assessment, financial statements and business finance. I am also able to help beginners who have no previous accounting experience and want to build strong foundations.
My teaching style is patient, friendly and professional. I encourage questions, check understanding regularly, and adapt my approach to suit different learning styles. Students can expect lessons that are interactive, focused and practical, with clear objectives and useful feedback.
