Hello, I’m a fully qualified maths teacher with strong expertise in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 mathematics. I completed my teacher training through the Teach First programme in 2022 and have been teaching full-time since, while also tutoring privately since 2019. My experience spans a wide range of student abilities and backgrounds, and I am deeply committed to helping every learner reach their full potential.

My teaching style is built around the mastery approach, which is backed by extensive educational research and has proven highly effective in improving students' understanding and long-term retention. I break down each topic into clear, manageable steps, provide scaffolded support, and guide students through targeted practice and challenging problem-solving questions. This method encourages students to recognise patterns, make meaningful connections, and gain a real depth of understanding rather than just memorising procedures.

I have a great deal of patience and take pride in creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. I have worked with students diagnosed with autism and ADHD, adapting my teaching to suit their needs and ensuring they feel heard, valued, and supported. My goal is to build confidence, nurture independence, and help students not just succeed in maths, but truly enjoy it.
