I am a Czech native speaker currently enrolled in my last year of PhD studies in Anthropology at the University of Kent. During my studies I have been involved in number of research projects, data analysing, reporting, and writing academic articles. I have a gained extensive knowledge in the mammal’s anatomy, species classification and museum data collections, hence I am seeking for the opportunity to support my studies as a science educator. Specifically, I am most interested in the questions of locomotor repertoire of fossil hominins, and the levels of arboreality and types of bipedalism through the study of trabecular structure of hominin knee and its loading. Besides, as a PhD anthropology student I have a profound understanding of anatomy and functional anatomy of the human and extant primates’ body as well as palaeoanthropology and evolution of our ancestors and would love to get the opportunity to share this knowledge with the public. Moreover, during my studies, I have been teaching statistics classes for the undergraduate students at University of Kent in Canterbury and I am going to start a position as a teacher assistent of the modul Introduction to biological anthropology at UCL from Februrary 2024.

My professional background includes roles in public sectors such as Educator at community centre Jako Doma and at non-profit organisation Tady a Ted, where I learned to perform presentations and engaging workshops for a range of audiences, as well as in private sectors such as Curator at National Museum and Receptionists at the Centre of Contemporary Arts. These positions have allowed me to work collaboratively in a team environment and enhanced my communication skills with the public on a professional level, and moreover, enabled me to efficiently communicate with people across different environments and backgrounds, social and economic conditions, interests etc.
