Background
I have a wealth of life and work experience, which includes Psychiatric Nursing, Probation, Teaching in Secondary Schools, University and Home Tutoring and working with Special Educational Needs. Subject areas I have experience in are: English, Philosophy. Health and Social Care, Law and Criminology.

Interests
I am an avid motorbike rider. My claim to fame is having completed a practice lap round the Isle of Man on a Honda VFR. Less adrenaline motivated interests include playing piano, doing yoga/meditation, sea swimming, reading and painting- this is nothing like Rembrandt and Co but more as an outlet for my feelings! I’ll have a go at anything as long as noone get hurts!

It is important that you are confident and have belief in yourself and your abilities. And much of the work you will do with me will take this into account. Lessons are flexible. Your progress is monitored not just through written work. I will provide you with lots of constructive feedback and also ensure that your parents/guardians are kept informed about your progress. The tutoring process is a two way relationship and I will learn just as much from you as you will me. I have experience and I am familiar with all exam boards, predominantly Edexel, AQA and WJEC. I have a proven track record of students achieving above and in many cases, surpassing their target grade.
