I’ve had many tutors throughout my life, and always struggled to find one whose methods stuck with me, as many were very straight and narrow. As a tutor I want to be able to determine a students weaknesses as well as strengths, and then address those at first. I want them to feel comfortable with telling me if they don’t understand a concept I’ve explained, as I know I always struggled with that, and I believe being closer in age might alleviate that.

I would like to adjust my teaching methods based on their needs, and ensure we don’t skip or rush past topics that students may not be 100% comfortable with. I would be doing it online so I’d share my screen and could have my students send me what they’re learning that week and the homework they receive, so I can effectively plan our lesson ahead. I’m also willing to do one off / infrequent lessons for students who may be struggling on one or two topics and only need short-term assistance.

I completed iGCSE Edexcel and A levels Edexcel A Maths, however I am able to cater to different exam boards. If a student finds me helpful and likes my teaching methods and then discovers they need help in other subjects then that can be discussed as well. I completed triple science and also got 8’s in French, Drama and both English subjects, so I may be of use there too if need be!
