I have over 10 years of experience in drawing and painting, having developed my skills through continuous study, practice, lessons and personal projects. Over this time, I have explored a wide range of artistic techniques and approaches, from traditional drawing and painting to more experimental and contemporary methods. I have also developed a strong understanding of different art movements and currents and how techniques and visual languages of different periods have influenced the way artists work today. I have had the opportunity to interact with and learn from professionals across different creative fields, gaining insight into a variety of artistic and design practices. I am currently studying a BA in Architecture, which has allowed me to further develop my creative and technical skills while giving me a broader understanding of design and visual thinking. This allows me to teach not only the practical side of creating art, but also the context behind it, helping students understand where different styles and techniques come from and how they can draw inspiration from them in their own work.
My lessons are friendly, flexible and tailored to each student’s goals and expectations. I don’t believe everyone should follow the same course, so I would first understand what the student wants to achieve and build the lessons around that. Generally, we would begin by discussing the focus for the session, explore the relevant ideas or techniques, and then put them into practice through guided exercises or a personal project. Depending on the student, we could focus more on art history, the creative process, technical skills, or a particular technique such as drawing, painting, perspective or composition. I can also support students in developing their art portfolios, helping them select, improve and present their work effectively. Throughout the lesson, I encourage questions, experimentation and creativity, while adapting the pace to each student.
Having spent so much time learning myself, I understand the challenges students can face and the importance of patience, encouragement and finding an approach that works for each individual.
