Amye Dyrmishi

Hi, my name is Amye (pronounced Amy!) and I am a native English speaker looking to provide affordable tutoring for a range of subjects. I am a Russell Group university graduate, with a joint-honours degree in French and Economics from the University of Warwick.

I have tutored in all offered subjects previously with 100+ hours tutoring experience over several years, in which time I have learnt how to provide the best service for my students. I am a friendly and personable individual, who will focus on putting my students at ease and helping them gain confidence, as well as competency, in their desired subject.

Below are the age ranges I will provide tutoring for:

English as a foreign language: Any age, conversational lessons to improve fluency and vocabulary.

Maths, Triple Science, French, English Language and Literature: Up to GCSE level

I am also experienced in tutoring for 11+ exams, and myself attended Henrietta Barnett School, a school with two rounds of vigorous 11+ examinations.

I believe the most important benefit of one-on-one tutoring is that the content can be tailored to play to individual students strengths, and so no two students will have the same lesson plans. I aim not to reproduce a classroom envirornment where the student is expected to listen to me speak for an hour without being able to question me freely - a teaching style which does not suit many. Therefore, my lessons are interactive, with the concepts being explained by myself and discussed between us as we work through problems from past papers, read articles from acedemic journals, look over their past work for corrections, or use other resources specifically tailored to the students needs.
