My lessons are designed to be clear, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I know that Psychology can sometimes feel overwhelming with the amount of theories, studies, and essay requirements, so I break everything down into manageable steps. Lessons usually begin with a quick check-in on what the student feels confident with and what they are struggling with. From there, I adapt the session to focus on the areas that need the most attention.

I like to use a mix of approaches to keep lessons engaging. This includes reviewing key theories and studies, working through past paper questions, practising essay structures, and using real-life examples to make concepts easier to understand. I encourage active discussion, since explaining ideas in your own words is one of the best ways to learn. Where needed, I also provide simple revision strategies and study tips to help students prepare effectively for exams.

In terms of experience, I graduated with a BSc (Hons) Psychology (2:1) from Heriot-Watt University. My dissertation was highly recognised within the department and is now being developed further by researchers. Before university, I achieved a grade 7 in Higher Level Psychology in the IB Diploma, with full marks (22/22) for my Internal Assessment. While studying, I tutored GCSE Psychology students and loved helping them achieve their grades.

Overall, my lessons are supportive, structured, and confidence-building. My goal is not only to help students succeed in their exams but also to make Psychology enjoyable and engaging.
