Oxford Classics Graduate with a passion for teaching languages! Understanding Latin and Greek unlocks a new world of literature. I have read and studied a variety of authors from across the Ancient World, and have a breadth of knowledge which allows me to challenge those students who are aiming high. I have worked as an online GCSE Tutor for four years, throughout my undergraduate Classics degree; I also have professional experience as a tour guide and in childcare.
I tailor my lessons to consider a student's individual strengths and areas for improvement, as language learning is a unique process. I work with screen-sharing technology, memory techniques, and variable homework requirements to help my students retain what they have learned.
My background in Latin is strong: Grade 9 at GCSE, A* at A-Level, 4 years of further lessons and textual exploration at Oxford University as a Classics student (with first-class grades in Latin modules). I am comfortable teaching Latin at all levels.
I have a great love for Ancient Greek, and a strong familiarity with its literature. I self-studied Greek at GCSE, earning an A* grade, and received further instruction at Oxford over four years. I am comfortable teaching both Homeric and Attic Greek at GCSE and A-Level.
