After completing my MA in Psychology & Linguistics in 2024, and returning to university to complete my MSc in 2025, I am now very excited to draw upon my previous experiences to be a life coach for students! My previous voluntary, self-employed, and sessional roles have provided me with varied opportunities to work with adults and children seeking guidance and reassurance. These roles have required me to complete child protection training and background checks for my PVGs. Between my personal and academic interests, I believe that I have a lot to offer for students seeking advice or confidence boots with their studies. I am particularly confident with Psychology and English, but I have also completed History and Criminology courses at a university level. My employment history has also made me a conscientious individual who strives to complete any given task to the best of my ability. Previous opportunities have allowed me to have positive experiences with individuals of all ages while also allowing me to become confident in working independently. I'd also be keen to discuss the rewards of volunteering alongside your studies given that I have been able to boost my CV with eye-catching qualifications e.g., the Circl programme, Young Enterprise, Saltire Awards, and a publication accreditation for volunteering to gather data for my lecturers on a Criminal Justice paper. I believe I can be a supportive and sympathetic life coach for students, particularly due to the insights gained from working as a research assistant as a masters student!
