Having recently taken my GCSE’s, I understand the difficulties of staying motivated to study. Therefore I will make lessons engaging and suited to the students level, as well as providing them with useful tips for exams.
Depending on the age, I like to play quiz games at the end to recap what the student learnt during the lesson. This has been successful with children i previously tutored as they are more eager to learn and determined to become a “quiz” master.
For older students eg. Year 9+, i would begin the GCSE course and as there are a lot of topics to cover, I would help the student with a topic they are struggling with the most, finding innovative ways to make it more comprehendible.
