I love getting to know each student and their interests and goals so I can tailor lessons specifically to them. Art is highly personal, so I believe the best learning happens in a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to explore their creativity.

My lessons are structured but flexible, depending on the student’s level and focus. We can work on building strong foundations such as drawing skills, composition, colour theory, and techniques, or focus on developing personal style and creative ideas. I support students with sketchbook development, coursework, and exam preparation, breaking tasks down into clear, manageable steps.

I place a strong emphasis on understanding the creative process, from research and experimentation to refining final pieces. I also help students analyse artists, develop meaningful concepts, and confidently explain their work skills that are essential for GCSE and A-Level art.

Lessons are relaxed but purposeful, and I adapt my teaching style to suit each student. I encourage experimentation, creative confidence, and independent thinking, while offering constructive feedback to help students improve.

I’m patient, approachable, and genuinely passionate about helping students grow both technically and creatively. My aim is not only to help students achieve strong results, but also to help them enjoy art and feel proud of their work.

I also help students overcome creative blocks and build confidence in their ideas. Whether a student feels stuck or unsure where to begin, I guide them step by step so the creative process feels clear, achievable, and enjoyable.
