Ammaar Amjad

Hi, I'm Ammaar, a Psychology graduate with two postgraduate degrees and over seven years' experience applying psychological knowledge in real-world settings.

I hold a BA in Psychology from the University of Stirling, an MSc in Autism Research (Merit), and an MSc in Behavioural Science from the University of Glasgow, giving me a strong grounding across social, clinical, health, developmental, and cognitive psychology, as well as behavioural and neuroeconomics.

Alongside my studies, I've worked as a Research Assistant investigating identity development in neurodiverse populations, and as a Behavioural Science Researcher translating psychological insights into practical, real-world interventions. I currently work as a Community Development Coordinator, supporting people through transitional and homelessness services — experience that's taught me how to explain complex ideas clearly, patiently, and in a way that actually lands with different learners.

I can support students across GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate Psychology, including exam technique, essay writing, research methods, statistics (SPSS/RStudio), and dissertation support. I'm especially confident helping with topics in autism and neurodiversity, behavioural science, cognitive psychology, and research design.

My teaching style is relaxed and encouraging — I focus on building genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation, and I like using real examples from research and practice to make concepts stick. Whether you're catching up on coursework, prepping for exams, or tackling a dissertation, I'm happy to tailor sessions to what you need.
